CPM finds that KK Shailaja can win with a narrow majority. Success is expected in Vadakara based on the information collected from the branch and booth level committees. It is estimated that 1200 to 1500 votes can be obtained. CPM was found based on the figures received from the committees from below. But when the result came, Jayarajan faced a huge failure. K Muralidharan won with a majority of 84,663 votes
This time the booth level committees have passed only solid votes, leaving aside all doubtful and wavering votes.

The LDF is expecting a slight lead in Thalassery and Koothuparamba assembly constituencies. UDF will have the upper hand in Vadakara, Koilandi, Perampra, Kuttyadi and Nadapuram this time as well. Perambra, Kuttyadi and Nadapuram assembly constituencies are also assessed to be strong. Meanwhile, the CPM does not expect the NDA to make significant progress in Vadakara. The final analysis report was prepared by the election committee convener Watson Panoli.
Vadakara is one of the hotly contested constituencies in the Lok Sabha elections. CPM has fielded KK Shailaja here with the aim of recapturing the constituency from K Muralidharan. In the beginning, they were able to make a lot of progress in the campaign. But the election picture changed when Shafi Parampil came to Vadakara from Palakkad instead of K Muralidharan. Kannur Lok Sabha Constituency consists of two assembly constituencies in Kannur district and five assembly constituencies in Kozhikode district.
