Announcing their future plans with their Indian operations, KTM made it clear that they would launch the brand of Husqvarna in the country by 2020. Announcing the news, KTM officials informed that the brand would come to India through the company’s alliance with Bajaj Auto. Set to kick start production from Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant by 2019, KTM Husqvarna is expected to sell nearly 2 lakh bikes per annum.
Meanwhile, KTM’s recently unveiled models – Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Svartpilen 401, and Vitpilen 701, are gearing up for their European launch by 2018. The models are the first ones, expected to hit the Indian markets, when the brand Husqvarna makes its debut in the country.
