Xiaomi is all set to release Redmi S2 in China on May 10th. Well, before launching, Xiaomi has come up with an interesting statement that ‘Redmi S2’ would be the best ‘selfie smartphone’ out from Redmi. While issuing the new statement, Xiaomi has released a fresh teaser dealing with the various aspects of the front camera. The selfie comes with a large front facing camera sensor, there is an amount of soft LED flash as well. While the selfie shooter houses a 16MP sensor, that of the rear camera comes with a combination of two cameras – each carrying 12MP sensors.
The global version of Redmi S2 is set to hit the Indian market, soon after getting launched in China. Having a dedicated dual SIM slot and a separate slot for micorSD card, Redmi S2 is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. The device is tipped to have a 5.99 inch HD+ display, while it would come with a 3,080mAh battery. There would be three variants as far as the RAM/ROM combination is concerned with – 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB.
