US private equity firm Silver Lake has invested Rs 5,655.75 crore in Reliance Jio, the country’s leading telecom services provider. Silver Lake has bought a 1% stake in Jio platform. Earlier, Facebook had spent $ 570 billion to buy a 9.99% stake in Jio. Just days after that, another American company was invested in Jio.
With this investment, Jio platforms have been valued at Rs 4.90 lakh crore and enterprise value of Rs 5.15 lakh crore. Facebook today announced a 12.5 per cent premium to its equity valuation of Facebook’s investments.
