The trailer of superstar Suresh Gopi starrer, ‘Paappan’s’ trailer has released today. Directed by Joshiy, ‘Paappan’ is a crime thriller film, produced jointly by David Kachappilly and Raaffi Mathirra. The film stars Suresh Gopi in the title role along with, Nyla Usha, Neeta Pillai, Kaniha, Vijay Raghavan and Asha Sharath.
In the trailer, we can see a gist of the film. ‘Paappan’ tells the story of Abraham Mathew Mathan / Paappan, a voluntarily retired S.P. from the Crime Branch who is unwillingly reinstated to the force for investigating a long-standing murder case. Interestingly, the film marks the first time on-screen collaboration of Suresh Gopi and son Gokul Suresh. The father-son combination will be an added flavour in the film. We can witness the mass Suresh Gopi again through ‘Paappan’.

After the grand success of ‘Porinju Mariam Jose’, filmmaker Joshiy has come with ‘Paappan’, which is also the 252nd film of Suresh Gopi. The Suresh Gopi-Joshiy duo has re-united after 22 years with the superstar as a solo hero in ‘Paappan’. They had earlier worked together in bumper hit films like Lelam and Patram.

Nyla Usha is the female lead in the film. The film is scripted by C/o Saira Banu-fame RJ Shaan. Shyam Sasidharan will edit the film, while the soundtrack is composed and produced by Jakes Bejoy. David Kachappilly’s son Ajay David Kachappilly is the cinematographer. ‘Paappan’ is co-produced by Sujith J Nair and Shaji.
