Basel: In the ongoing Swiss Open 2022 at St. Jakobshalle, India’s ace shuttler PV Sindhu entered final in women’s singles by defeating Thailand’s Supanida Katethong.
Sindhu defeated Katethong for 21-18, 15-21, 21-19, in the semi-final match that lasted for 79 minutes.
At the same time, Indian shuttler, HS Prannoy also stormed into the finals of the men’s singles of the Swiss Open 2022.
Prannoy defeated Indonesia’s Anthony Sinisuka Ginting 21-19, 19-21, 21-18, in the semi-final match that lasted for 72 minutes.
Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikanth on Saturday was knocked out of the match after losing in the semi-finals of the men’s singles clash. Playing at court 1, he lost to Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie 21-18, 7-21, 13-21 that lasted for 55 minutes.
Prannoy will now face Christie and Sindhu will play against Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan in the women’s singles final on Sunday.
