Adimali: Film star and BJP leader Suresh Gopi visited Maryakutty’s house, who was begging with an earthen pot in protest of not getting welfare pension.
Maryakutty thanked Suresh Gopi. Thank you sir, thank you sir for doing so many miracles. There was a lot of harm done, the ugly thing. We were saddened by that,” said Maryakutty.
Suresh Gopi reached Maryakutty’s house along with BJP leaders. Maryakutty spoke blaming the government. ‘No, sir, let me ask, why are you clinging to the people? Maryakutty asked Suresh Gopi whether the people are Kulamkutty or him.
When Suresh Gopi replied that I will not say that, Maryakutty said that I will. Even if I am arrested. He will ask who will be killed.
We don’t have a yellow card. Maryakutty also alleged that it belonged to the CPM members. Suresh Gopi said to Maryakutty’s companions, ‘Please pay attention to your mother’.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Krishna Kumar had given financial assistance to Maryakutty the other day. Krishna Kumar had given 25000 rupees each for one year to the two men who took earthen pots and begged for alms.
Mariakutty (87), a native of Irunurakar, and Anna Ousep (80) protested by begging at Thanikuzhi in Polinjapalam last Tuesday.

Later, the CPM spread the word that Maryakutty has assets of lakhs and one and a half acres of land and 2 houses. The CPM had alleged that they, including their children and siblings, were abroad and had come to beg for alms by concealing these facts.
However, Maryakutty proved all the allegations to be false. The CPM mouthpiece expressed regret for publishing news against Maryakutty. However, Maryakutty’s position is that there is no change in the decision to approach the court on the matter.
