Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission 2018 Procedure & Instructions : Here you will get an idea about the Tamil Nadu MBBS admission 2018 latest news, updates, available seats & registration details. Directorate of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu will be the agency responsible for the MBBS admission during the academic year 2018 – 2019 in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission 2018 Eligibility:

In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS Course for a particular academic
year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum of marks at 50th percentile in
‘National Eligibility cum-Entrance Test to MBBS/BDS courses’ held for the year 2018-2019.
However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes,
Backward Classes, Backward Classes(Muslim) and Most backward Class/De-Notified
Community the minimum marks shall be at 40th percentile in ‘National Eligibility cum-
Entrance Test to MBBS course’ held for the said academic year. In respect of candidates
with locomotory disability of lower limbs terms of Clause 4(a) iv (of regulations), the
minimum mark shall be at 45th percentile in National Eligibility cum-Entrance Test to
MBBS course’ held for the said academic year

Provided when sufficient number of candidates in the respective categories fail to
secure minimum marks as prescribed in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test held for
any academic year for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses, the Central Government in
consultation with Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India may at its discretion
lower the minimum marks required for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for candidates
belonging to respective categories and marks so lowered by the Central Government shall
be applicable for the said academic year only.
