The success-meet of Mammootty – Manju Warrier starrer The Priest took place. The success celebration, which featured the major cast and crew members of the film, saw the makers proudly announcing the revival of the Malayalam film industry from the Covid days; Manju Warrier was absent from the press meet. After the press meet was over, makers happily cut the cake. Interestingly, it was child artist Baby Monica, who grabbed the limelight, with the makers unanimously praising the young artist’s stupendous performance.

Directed by debutant Jofin T Chacko, The Priest was open to packed houses yesterday – something that eluded the theatres in Kerala, since the advent of Covid. Starring Nikhila Vimal, Saniya Iyappan, Lishoy and to name the rest in other important roles, The Priest is yet to release the first day box office figures. The movie is a joint production venture between Anto Joseph Film Company and RD Illuminations.
