WhatsApp is reportedly working behind the idea of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It will also go in tandem with the GDPR, prepared by the European, which is to start functioning in May. As was announced by the company, the movement is aimed at harmonizing the data privacy laws. The Facebook owned company had already submitted a new update. The update, running on Google Play Beta Programme, will soon be followed by similar moves by all the facebook family of companies.
As per the reports, the new feature would be giving users more control over their data on internet. Along with this feature, the new update will also be bringing more transparency and uniformity for all users.
