The state announced the film awards yesterday. It was almost certain that Urvashi would be chosen as the best actress. And so it happened. But Urvashi was unexpectedly accompanied by another name. Their name is Bina R Chandran. She is sharing the best actress award with Urvashi.

There was no mention of their names in the movie award announcement discussions. Therefore, their announcement was the most surprising thing in this award ceremony. They are actually sharing the award as Urvashi. The name Bina R Chandran is probably new to Malayalis. However, he is a person with years of experience in the field of art.

She is a teacher at CEUP School in Paruthur, Palakkad. Teaching is their way of life but they are a person who is very close to art. They have theater experience since childhood. They have given a very good performance in Ammachur theaters. She has played many characters in many Nagas of Arangutukara Art School and Thrissur Drama Sangha. Along with acting, they have also taken mimicry forward.

They have a post graduate degree in Botany. They are entering the film industry through short films. Before this, she also played an important role in the film Crime No. 89 directed by Sudevan. She played Geeta, an Anganwadi teacher, in the film directed by Fazil Razak. It is doubly sweet for them that the news of the award announcement came while they were teaching their children.
